Education is paramount for any society and every child should have access to a high-quality education, from preschool through high school and beyond. Every child, belonging to any creed or race or family with any income has the right to education no matter where they are. In our societies, a college degree is necessary for anyone who seeks to have a good job; however, students with a low-income are seeing issues in graduation. That has encouraged taking student loans and other debts, which are, in the long run, burdening them to every extent.
In this regard, some serious approaches are necessary to make public education available and approachable to everyone. With that, I will also give due attention to the following.
- Striving to make college debt-free: I believe that money should not come in the way of quality education for every student in this state. We need to reinvest in higher education and colleges holding the line on costs, will ensure that Minnesotans of all backgrounds will be prepared for the jobs and economy of the future. I strongly believe that every student should be able to go to college debt-free, and working families should not have to pay any tuition to go to public colleges and universities.
- Making pre-school for every child: Investing in education is actually investing in the future of our state. I strongly believe in affordable, reliable, and available education for everyone, regardless of their zip codes, race, families, or gender. We should strive to provide all the opportunities for the young children of this state. This is where I am looking to invest in because an educated youth makes up the fabric or any society. I believe that a strong public education system is an anchor of our democracy, a propeller of the economy, and the vehicle through which we help all children achieve their dreams. I support the idea of pre-school and afterschool and I will increasingly invest in them so that every child experiences quality learning programs at an age where they have to be given ample attention.
